Rocky Point Mexico Beach Volleyball 2010

Outta Town Productions' Rocky Point, Mexico beach volleyball tournament will now be held on the beach in front of both the Sonoran Spa resort and the Sonoran Sea resort condos. This will give the players and attendees their choice of two condo resorts to stay at with an OTP discount , and a much larger beach area to expand on. You may also stay at any other lodging of your choice. Click on RPRMexico.com and use promo code OTPVB for a 20% discount.
OTP will NOT be handling any lodging reservations.
For BOTH events, you can still get your condo at Sonoran Spa and Sonoran Sea condos on the “3 nights for the price of two” discount using online booking with the coupon code S3P2 at RPRMexico.com. That’s 33% off and it’s good until Feb 28, 2010. After that, you can still get a 20% discount using promo code OTPVB until April 17.
April 17, 2010 will be our first new tournament, with the theme "Survivor". This will be a much more player interactive event, with actual team "challenges" for all teams to complete. A minimum of 5 pool play games and a double elimination tournament will be afforded for the team registration fee of $150 per team.
If you do not have a team, you may register as an individual at $40 per player and be placed on one. Call to register as an individual. All teams will be coed fours and have one female player minimum.
All players will receive a collector participant t-shirt.
Teams may play with any game ball, as long as both teams agree.
Pool play games will be timed. Tournament games will be started simultaneously, but not timed to finish.
Finals games will be called by paid referees.
Finals will be played one division at a time, so all spectators can watch them all, if possible. Number of teams entered will determine if possible.
And for everyone attending either event, we will be holding a raffle at noon for some excellent prizes.
Some examples: dinners for 2, Sunset Cruises, cases of Tecate, bottles of Tequila, Rocky Point tours, commemorative mugs, new Wilson AVP volleyballs, parasailing adventures, a spa treatment at La Spa De Penasco, entry to the October beach volleyball tourney, and the grand prize of a 2 bedroom condo stay for the Oct event.
A and B divisions will now play for CASH!With a minimum of 6 teams in each division, the 1st place cash pot will be minimum $300. The pot will increase with more teams playing.
Teams will register and be assigned "tribe" names. These tribes will be seated in A, B, C or D divisions as in the past. Only 55 team spots will be offered for this first event.
Start your weekend at the Friday night player party at Chango’s from 8-10PM. Then continue your fun on Saturday after the tournament with the dinner awards banquet from 7-9PMby the pool. A very low cost dinner with one drink included and a FREE comedy show with comedian Mike James and friends.

Individuals may register for $40 each and be placed on a team(up to tournament start). You may register with less than a full team to get a spot in your division, but must have all players and shirt sizes by Friday April 2, 2010.

Marc Scott will be accepting donations of dog food and money at the tournament to help out two animal rescue shelters in Rocky Point. AACORP(Mexico dog and cat rescue) at www.rpaac.org and the other one is Red and Terri's Puppy Rescue at www.RedandTerri.org. Please help out. We will try to get the directors of the shelters to the player banquet and hand them the donations directly on Saturday night.
